When the diaphragm, which is connected via compressor to the valve stem, is pulled away from the bottom of the valve body, the fluid has a smooth, streamlined flow.
Ball valves open and close quickly with a quarter turn. Their name is derived from the flow-controlling ball located within the valve body.
The name of this valve comes from the wing-like action of the flow-controlling disc, which operates at a right angle to the flow.
These self-contained, automatic valves are used to prevent flow reversal in a line.
These valves operate by rotating the hand-wheel. Rising stem gate valve hand-wheels move up and down at a right angle to the fluid flow. The valves inside diameter matches that of the piping used.
Used in the agriculture industry as air release valves and automatic water supply valves.
