1945 to 1950

  1. Founding

    With 2 million yen as capital, Nicchitsu Kozai Kogyo Co., Ltd. was founded as a subsidiary of Nicchitsu Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (today’s Asahi Kasei Corporation) to manufacture reinforced wood for use in aircraft

  2. Change of business

    Changed the trade name to Asahi Veneer Industry Co., Ltd. and shifted to the manufacture and sale of phenolic resin molding materials, synthetic resin molding products, and plywood

  3. Commenced manufacture of molding materials

1950s

  1. Change of trade name

    Trade name changed to Asahi Organic Chemicals Industry Co., Ltd.

  2. Constructed Nobeoka Factory at its present site

  3. Commenced manufacture of ASAHI AV valves

  4. Commenced manufacture of shell mold resin (resin for casting)

  5. Registered as a construction company (plumbing business)

  6. Commenced manufacture of stop valves

  7. Commenced manufacture of diaphragm valves

1960s

  1. Tokyo Stock Exchange debut

    Over-the-counter trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange

  2. Constructed Shimonoseki Factory and commenced manufacture of resin coated sand (RCS)

  3. Constructed Tone Factory and commenced manufacture of synthetic resin molding products and RCS

  4. Constructed Joban Factory and commenced manufacture of RCS

  5. Commenced manufacture of ball valves

  6. Constructed Aichi Factory and commenced manufacture of shell mold resin and RCS

  7. Commenced manufacture of butterfly valves

1970s

  1. Listing on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

    Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange

  2. Constructed a PVC pipe factory in Kitakatamachi (now Nobeoka-shi)

  3. Commenced manufacture of pipes

  4. Established a European liaison office

    Opened a European liaison office in Germany

1980s

  1. Capital increased to the current 5,000,100,000 yen by free issue of shares

  2. Constructed labor-saving factory at Nobeoka Head Office

1990s

  1. Constructed Laboratory and Research Center at Nobeoka Head Office

  2. Constructed Hiroshima Factory and commenced manufacture of RCS

  3. Shut down Shimonoseki Factory

  8. ASAHI/AMERICA, INC. made a fully-owned subsidiary

    Acquired all stock of ASAHI/AMERICA, INC. (consolidated subsidiary)

2000s

  1. Commenced manufacture of Dymatrix™ series

  2. Constructed Amori Factory (in Amorimachi, Nobeoka) and transferred the Engineering Division there from Nobeoka Factory

  3. Established Asahi-Yuki Sales (West) Co., Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  4. Adopted a dual head office system (Nobeoka Head Office and Tokyo Head Office), and a two business division system (Valve & Piping Systems and Resin)

  5. Established AOC Techno Co., Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  6. Established AOC Assemble Co., Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  7. Commenced OEM production of plastic valves in Taiwan

  8. Constructed Aichi Research Laboratory

  9. Completed construction of Nobeoka Machining Mall

  10. Completed construction of the local factory of an RCS manufacturer in Thailand to which our technology has been licensed

  11. Established Asahi Organic Chemicals Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  12. Established Asahi Organic Chemicals (Nantong), Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  13. Launched our high performance OctPass® resin

  1. Launched Zero-Freon® ER thermal insulation materials for large buildings

  2. Launched Falconics™

  3. Launched Zero-Freon® Fit thermal insulation materials for wooden houses

  4. Asahi-Yuki Sales (Central) Co., Ltd. was merged with Asahi-Yuki Sales Co., Ltd., both of which were fully-owned subsidiaries

  5. Launched our time difference type mixers

  6. Launched HexaPass®

  7. Established ASAHI MODI MATERIALS PRIVATE LIMITED (consolidated subsidiary)

  8. Asahi-Yuki Sales (West) Co., Ltd. was merged with Asahi-Yuki Sales Co., Ltd., both of which were fully-owned subsidiaries, and the trade name changed to ASAHI AV TRADING CO., LTD. (consolidated subsidiary)

  9. Drico Co., Ltd. made a subsidiary

    Acquired all stock of Drico Co., Ltd. (consolidated subsidiary)

  10. Established our new Water Treatment & Natural Resources Development Business Division, and adopted a three business division system

  11. Established ASAHI KOREA CO., LTD. (consolidated subsidiary)

    Established ASAHI AV Europe GmbH. (consolidated subsidiary)

  12. Established ASAHI ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. (consolidated subsidiary)

  13. Trade name changed to ASAHI YUKIZAI CORPORATION

  14. DAIWA KOUSAN CORPORATION made a subsidiary (consolidated subsidiary)

  15. Acquired additional stock in Asahi AV Sangyo Co. Ltd.

  16. Merged our wholly-owned subsidiaries Asahi AV Japan Corporation and ASAHI AV TRADING CO., LTD. and changed the company name to AViTOP CORPORATION.

  17. Opened our Middle East Branch

  18. Opened our South Africa Representative Office

  19. Closed our Thailand Office
