About Product Warranty

Please be sure to read our product warranty in detail.

• When using ASAHI YUKIZAI products, please be sure to comply with the product specifications, important notes, and the like.
• Although we always strive to improve the quality and reliability of our products, we cannot guarantee their perfection.
  In particular, when the product is used in equipment / facilities or the like that might present a risk to human life, or of injury or damage to human health, or of damage to property, please implement measures such as appropriate safety design that fully take into account problems that may normally occur. Please note that ASAHI YUKIZAI will bear no responsibility if you have not obtained our written consent in a form such as specifications or other documentation prior to utilizing the product in such a way.
• Important notes regarding the selection, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of our products are described in technical documents, operation manuals, and the like. Please contact your nearest dealer or ASAHI YUKIZAI office.
• Our product warranty extends for one year after delivery. Any product abnormality that occurs during the warranty period and is reported to us will be investigated immediately to identify its cause. Should our product be deemed defective, we shall assume the responsibility to repair or replace it.
• Once the warranty period has elapsed, the customer shall bear the cost of repair or replacement.
• The warranty does not cover the following cases:
  1. Using our product under any conditions not covered by our defined scope of warranty.
  2. Failure to comply with the important notes etc.* we have defined regarding the construction, installation, handling, maintenance etc. of our product.
  3. Any abnormality caused by something other than our product.
  4. If our product has been modified or undergone secondary processing by anyone other than us.
  5. If any part of our product has been used for anything other than the intended use of the product.
  6. Any abnormality that is not due to our product but occurs due to a natural disaster, accident, or the like.
  

  * Please note that the warranty does not cover any damage caused by the failure of our products.

• This warranty applies only to the use of our products in Japan. Please contact us directly if you wish to use our products overseas.

Important notes

• When a positive pressure gas is used in our plastic piping material, even if the pressure is equivalent to the water pressure, dangerous conditions can be expected to occur due to the repellent force peculiar to compressed fluids. Be sure to take the necessary safety precautions such as covering the piping with protective material. Please contact us if you have any questions.
• When conducting a leak test on newly installed piping, be sure to check for leaks under water pressure.
• Please consult your nearest ASAHI YUKIZAI office beforehand if it is absolutely necessary to use gas for the leak test.
• Wrap the threaded joints on our plastic piping with sealing tape.
• Using a liquid sealing agent or liquid gasket may cause stress cracks (environmental stress cracking).
• Our product warranty shall not apply if a liquid sealing agent or liquid gasket is used, even if their use is unavoidable.
