ASAHI YUKIZAI CORPORATION

ASAHI YUKIZAI CORPORATION (Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuya Nakano) has begun building a new facility at its wholly owned subsidiary, Asahi Organic Chemicals (Nantong) Co., Ltd., located in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. The plant will expand production capacity for electronic materials to serve the growing Chinese market.

Before construction started, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site on September 23, 2025. Attendees included representatives from our company, the Nantong National Economic and Technological Development Area Administrative Committee, and other parties involved in the project. They expressed their hopes for the safe and successful completion of the facility.

In China’s electronic materials sector, efforts to localize raw materials have driven a significant rise in demand for our products. To meet this growing demand, the new plant will have roughly three times the production capacity of our existing facility and is scheduled for completion in March 2027. While it will produce the same product lineup as the current plant, we will utilize our resin synthesis and purification technologies to deliver higher value-added products to Chinese manufacturers.
