Carbon composite materials made with synthetic resin and composite technology contribute to energy conservation and environmental preservation.

We developed Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) by unique technology of phenolic synthetic resin and composite technology. Complicated molding can easily be made using SMC. It has strength exceeding 600 MPa, as well as heat resistance and refractory performance.We advanced development for use in applications such as weight reduction of automotive parts. Also, materials carbonized with a porous structure mimicking certain plants achieved high electromagnetic shielding and absorbing characteristics. This composite material using plant-derived carbone contribute to the health protection of people as shielding and absorbing materials for electromagnetic waves generated by various types of equipment in ourdaily lives.

We have been investigating the possibilities of phenolic resins as a core business since the establishment of the company,and developed new spherical hardened resin particles,"BEAPS-P". "BEAPS-P" is synthesized by a new polymerization process, that enables the particle size to be controlled in the range of 5 to 500 μm. It also has high carbonization yield while maintaining the original form. Besides completing the method of activating (pore-forming) carbon, it has become possible to apply these high functionality activated carbon materials to a wide range of applications such as pharmaceuticals,adsorbents for medical use, electrode materials for batteries,etc. In addition, we also have succeeded in the development of hardened furfuryl alcohol resin particles "BEAPS-F", made 100% of non-edible plants, which contributes to the reduction of environmental load in comparison to petrochemical products.
