Overview

In the event of forming with the use of RCS, the forming property varies significantly depending on the surrounding environment. We have developed the RCS preheating technology and RCS preheater (Patent No. 3355325), which help improve the quality of cores by controlling the RCS temperature and moisture content.

Features

• The RCS preheater is capable of evenly preheating RCS to 60 deg. C using the air bubbling method to halve its moisture content, for example from 800 ppm to 400 ppm.

Effect

• Preheating of RCS should improve its hardening property after the rise in temperature and shorten the forming cycle, thereby increasing productivity.
• The decline in RCS’s moisture content improves fluidity and pouring results at the time of forming. It increases the strength of the actual mold and it is suited to the forming of complicated shapes.
